Head of Kizlyar gang killed

identified as the leader of the so-called "Kizlyar" gang, Rustam Hasanov,
who has been on the federal wanted list for three years, the National
Anti-Terrorism Committee of the Russian Federation announced,
RIA-Novosti reports.
"In 2003 he was convicted and served a sentence for robbery in
September 2009, went into hiding and was declared on the federal wanted
list," the NAC representative said.
According to NAC, Hasanov organized the mining of railroad tracks near
the village of Pervomayaskoe while a passenger train passed over
in November 2010. Later he attacked law enforcement bodies of
Dagestan's Kizlyar district.
