Oil export via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline is reduced

From January-May 2012, 13.042 million tons of oil were exported via the
Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, 1news.az reports with reference to the
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). In comparison with
January-April 2011, exports dropped by 1.258 million tons.

In January, exports totalled 2.7 million tons of crude oil, in February
2.45 million tons, in March 2.7 million tons, in April 2.3 million
tons and about 2.8 million tons in May.

The length of the BTC pipeline is 1768 km. 443 km of the pipeline are
on the territory of Azerbaijan, 248 km - in Georgia and 1,076 km - in
Turkey.
