Baku hosts TransCaspian 2012 Exhibition
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Baku Expo Centre in Azerbaijan is hosting the TransCaspian 2012 Exhibition for transport, transit and logistics, 1news reports.
It was organized by Iteca Caspian. TransCaspian has been an essential transport forum in the Caucasus for over 10 years, contributing the transport and transit potential of Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani Transport Ministry supports the exhibition with assistance of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA).
Over 70 companies from 15 states, including Azerbaijan, Germany, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, UAE, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, France and the Czech Republic, attend it. Croatia has made its first attendance. The Latvian National Stand is taking part for the second year.
The Azerbaijani Transport Ministry, Azerbaijani Railways, State Maritime Administration, Caspian Shipping Company and the State Service for Road transport have their own stands.
TransCaspian 2012 is peculiar for active participation of international ports of the Black, Caspian and Baltic Seas. They includes such ports as Poti, Batumi, Liepaja, Ventspils, Baku. German, Georgian, Russian and Azerbaijani companies will demonstrate shipping companies.
