Caspian states to distribute bioresources

Ashkhabad is hosting a session for Caspian fishing agencies to discuss preservation and use of bioresources of the sea, Trend reports.

Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Iran and Turkmenistan are discussing a regional document to preserve environment of the Caspian Sea. The sea has over 2,500 species of fish, especially sturgeons.

The Caspian coast is an essential spot for bird migration. A fifth of world flamingos stop here for winter.
