Azerbaijan expects 4 tourist increase after Eurovision

Azerbaijan expects to have 4 million tourists visiting it annually in the next 5 years, Minister for Culture and Tourism Abdulfas Garayev said at the Jumeirah Bilgah Hotel, News Azerbaijan reports.

The number of tourists increased by 14% last year exceeding 2.134 people. The number of hotels totaled 508.

Azerbaijan expects to increase the number of tourists by 10% this year. It would benefit the UEFA Women’s U-17 Championship.

The minister emphasized that the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku boosted tourism, some tourism companies proposed opening offices in Azerbaijan.
