Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Commerce Mehdi Ghazanfari has announced Iran is set to inaugurate 370 mines and industrial projects, Press TV reports on Sunday.

Ghazanfari said the $four-plus billion projects will be unveiled in “The Ten Days of National Production” from June 21 to 30, and will create 23 thousand jobs.

Elsewhere, Ghazanfari announced an increase in Iran's industrial production in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 20) compared to the similar period last year.

“In this period (March 20-May 19, 2012), the production of crude steel has grown by more than nine percent and hit 2.6 million tons, while this figure was 2.4 million tons last year,” he said.

Ghazanfari added that in the same period the output of steel products has also registered a six-percent growth from 2.8 to three million tons.
