Russian staff manning the Daryal missile launches switch to a new operation regime in July, 1news reports.

Officers serving at the Qabala Radar were asked to send their wives, children, parents and other relatives home. The local hospital closed.

An official of the Russian Defense Ministry said that it would be cheaper to build two Voronezh-type radars than pay for Azerbaijan’s Daryal. The order to switch operation regime was adopted in 2009.
