A criminal case into illegal actions of police officers started with the
testimony of a resident of the Krasnodar region, "Interfax" reports, citing
the press service of the regional Investigative Department on Monday.
On June 15 a man contacted the investigators, saying that his 27-year-old
son was tortured by police in the Seversky district.
According to investigators, on June 11 the police arrived at the house of a resident of
Oktyabrsky village and asked him to go with them to give testimony about the
theft.
At the police station, when the detainee denied his involvement in the theft,
three policemen beat up the young man, the press release says.
"Then the police put the detainee into the car with a black polymer bag on
his head and took him to the forest. Wanting to make the victim confess to
the theft, the unknown policemen handcuffed him and used an
electric shock against him," the message reads.
