Iran to build special ships to fight oil pollution

The organization of the maritime ports (OMP) of Iran is investing about $41

million to build ships that will fight oil spillages in the sea.  These

ships will possibly be used not only in Iranian waters, Trend reports

referring to ISNA.

 

As the head of the OMP sea security and environment department Mohammed

Reza Gaderi said, this organization will hold exhibitions and exercises to fight

pollution and rescue operations at sea. It is planned that

Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will take part in these

exercises.
