Russian regions' ministry calls for further investment in North Caucasus

The Russian Ministry for Regional Development calls for further investment in the country's most unstable region, the North Caucasus, RIA Novosti reports.

The head of the body, Oleg Govorun, told officials assembled at a recent meeting of the governmental commission for the region's development that the authorities should allocate 1.7 trillion roubles to the North Caucasus Federal District.
