US does not suspect Russia of shipping weapons to Syria

The Pentagon does not suspect Russia of shipping weapons to Syria. Moscow is fulfilling military contracts signed with Damascus, spokesman of the Pentagon John Kirby says, RIA Novosti reports.

Russia was to provide Syria with helicopters, according to contracts. The official added that US and Russia do have disagreements on the Syrian issue, but the sides agree that the political dialogue with all sides involved should continue.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accused Russia of shipping helicopters to Syria last week. She acknowledged the hasty accusations and clarified that the helicopters were returned to Syria after being repaired.
