Concert devoted to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Ingushetia

The Republic of Ingushetia is one of the glories of the North Caucasus. This land is famous for its nature, architectural and cultural heritage and hospitable people. The Republic of Ingushetia was established on the 4th of June in 1992. A concert devoted to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Ingushetia was held in the Kremlin State Palace on the 19th of June. Public figures, politicians, artists and representatives of the Ingush diaspora from all over the country and many others came to this event.

The exhibition of couture collections, works of Ingush painters and carvers of wood and metal was inaugurated before the concert in the Heraldic Hall of the Kremlin State Palace. The performance in honor of the holiday became the highlight of the event. Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, the Head of the Republic of Ingushetia, greeted the guests of the holiday

Famous artists and dancing groups of the Northern Caucasus performed on the stage at the Kremlin State palace. Felix Tsarikati, Honored Artist of Russia and People’s Artist of North Ossetia, Sultan “Hurricane” Khazhirokov, Honored Artist of Kabardino-Balkaria, Ali Dimayev, People’s Artist of the Chechen Republic and the Republic of Ingushetia, Tmur Dzeitov, People’s Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia, the State Ensemble of Folk Dance “Ingushetia”, the dancing group “Sunzha”, the ballet company of the Opera and Ballet Theatre of Dagestan under the guidance of Musa Ozdoyev, Honored Artist of Russia, and many other artists were among them.

Iosif Kobzon, People's Artist of Russia, the art-group "Turetsky Choir", and Nadezhda Babkina, People's Artist of Russia, also came to congratulate the republic.

This event is a holiday, not just because of the date, but, I suppose, due to the atmosphere created in the spirit of everybody who has come here. It seems to me that a 20th anniversary is a wonderful one: it symbolizes both youth and maturity. Our neighbor, the Republic of Ingushetia, is one of the youngest ones, but its authorities have done a lot for its development, and it made good progress in different fields such as culture, science, education, and social programs. To my mind, the Republic of Ingushetia does its best today in order to enhance its agricultural and industrial potential. I think it will manage to do this, because I know that the Ingush are very industrious and persistent people. I wish them to prosper, to see the progress of their young and to reach a well-deserved position amongst the territorial subjects of the Russian Federation (I think they are sure to do this).

We came to this concert with great pleasure. We would like to see that this outstanding people is historically together with us and with other republics forever. Today, I hope, they will prove it.

What do we want to see today? First of all, we want to see a good rousing concert, a true Vainakh one, so that both our countrymen and all the guests will rejoice, because today is the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Ingushetia. Today Ingushetia is, dare I say it, one of the quickest-developing republics of Russia. Above all, I would like to wish good health, long life and successful work for the sake of the republic’s welfare to the Ingush fraternal people

I want this republic headed by Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, the president of the republic and a Hero of Russia, to prosper more and more. Its authorities have done a lot recently; for instance, they have built a new capital and carried out a lot of changes that are currently being continued. The Ingush people will do more if they support both their President and each other and become a consolidated team.

Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, the President of the Republic of Ingushetia: I liked everything, both our guests and the Ingush artists. In particular, I was very impressed by the fashion show of our dress-designer. I have even set an aim to support her, to find her a building and to open a fashion house in our republic.

VK: What would you like to wish our artists, to everyone who has performed today, and to our guests?

Yunus-Bek Yevkurov: I wish the artists great success in their work; that is probably the most important thing. As for the guests and the residents of the republic, I wish them to go forward with their heads high and not to look back. It is necessary to go forward and to achieve better results in order to celebrate the 30th and the 40th anniversaries in triumph.
