Government needs to explain initiatives to public – Shuvalov

Russian Vice Premier Igor Shuvalov says that the government should start a dialogue with both people protesting at the Bolotnaya Square and the Sakharov Avenue and those who support the policy, RIA Novosti reports.
Shuvalov said at a breakfast organized by Sberbank at the Saint-Petersburg Economic Forum that the government needs to explain its steps to the public.
Russia saw numerous protests after the parliamentary polls on December 4, 2011. People insisted that the elections had many violations and falsifications.
The March of Millions was held on May 6 and June 12. The first protest resulted in clashes with police officers. Dozens of protesters and officers were injured. 400 protesters were detained. The second protest meeting had no incidents.
