Yeni Azerbaijan proposes formation of Asian Union and Asian Parliamentary Union

Ali Ahmedov, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of Yeni Azerbaijan, the ruling party of Azerbaijan, proposed cooperation between Asian states and their political parties, Trend reports.

The official said at the 7th session of the General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties on Friday that such cooperation would boost formation of the Asian Union. Asia has the world’s highest economic potential, he adds.

The Asian Union and the Asian Parliamentary Union would determine the fate of the region.

Baku will host the 7th session of the General Assembly in November. It is hosting the current 7th session on June 22-23. Political parties of 17 states are attending it.
