Caucasus to have more earthquakes

Earthquake risks in the Caucasus will increase, as stated by Akif Alizade, Director of the Institute for Geology of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, Trend reports.

Joint studies of the Kurin Lowlands with the US in the southern part of the Absheron Peninsula show deformation of land layers, Alizade says on Friday. An earthquake may happen in Baku in the near future. A major earthquake may occur.
