Kadyrov urges not to describe "a few devils" as illegal armed groups

The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, has called on the media not to glorify the remaining fighters with the term "illegal gangs", RIA-Novosti reports.

Earlier, the region's governmental website reported that Kadyrov called Chechnya the safest region in the Russian Federation.

"The number of militants in the mountains of Chechnya is not as high as the gang leaders would like to represent. There is not even a handful of fighters, not to mention hundreds," Kadyrov said.
