Some 50 Syrian troops escape to Turkey

A general, two colonels, two majors, one lieutenant and 33 soldiers have deserted the Syrian Armed Forces and escaped to Turkey, RIA Novosti reports on Monday.

CNN Turk reported that the deserters arrived together with relatives. 224 people have crossed the border.
