Turkey not to declare war on Syria for downed aircraft

As reported previously by VK, the Turkish Air Force reconnaissance aircraft RF-4E had disappeared from radar screens half hour after the takeoff in the airspace of the Mediterranean Sea near the border with Syria. Syria said it had shot down the Turkish aircraft after it invaded its airspace.
Turkey argues that the plane was shot down while being in the international airspace, and its fragments fell into the territorial waters of Syria.
