US ship to search for Turkish jet

The US ship Nautilus that found the wreck of the Titanic will help search for the shot down Turkish jet, RIA Novosti reports.

The ship searching for sunken vessels in the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas is stationed in Istanbul. It has a crew of 36 people.

A Turkish RF-4E left the Erhac airbase in the Malatya Province on Friday. Radars lost it in about 1.5 hours after taking off at the Hatay Province. Syria said that the jet was shot down for violating the aerospace over its territorial waters.
