Assad's forces reportedly lose control over northern Syria

 

Burhan Ghalioun, the former leader of the main opposition group the Syrian National Council, claimed parts of northern Syria have been liberated from Assad's control after visiting FSA rebels in the north-western province of Idlib, the Guardian reports on Wednesday.
Ghalioun was filmed visiting rebels in Sarmada close to the Turkish border.
