SOCAR holds exploration drilling on offshore structure

The depth of the first exploration well in the Goshadash prospective offshore structure in the Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea is about 500 meters, a SOCAR source told Trend on Monday.

The design depth of the well is 3,500 meters.

The source said that the drilling is being carried out according to schedule and will take about a year.

"The work of drilling the well will be conducted as planned during the year. The well depth is now about 500 meters," the source said. Drilling operations will be carried out by the Complex Drilling Operations Trust of SOCAR.
