No anthrax symptoms in Dagestan

No new cases of anthrax have been registered in Dagestan yet, Russian Chief Sanitary Inspector Gennady Onishenko said, RIA Novosti reports on Friday.


Ruslan Ozdemirov, Veterinary Chief of Dagestan, reported about six people, including a pregnant woman, infected in the Akhvakhsky District. Five patients remain in hospital, the pregnant woman was taken to Makhachkala.


Specialists say that the outbreak was caused by an animal the patients ate on June 15.
