CSTO members will develop a complex strategy due to Uzbekistan's quitting the organization. Uzbekistan announced the quit on June 28.

Tashkent quit the organization in 1999 by refusing to prolong its membership. It restored membership in August 2006 again.

The Collective Security Treaty was signed on May 15, 1992. Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan are its members. They may leave the organization at any time.
