Head of Dagestan says imam's murder harms confessional dialogue in the region

 

The murder of a village imam harms the process of confessional dialogue and
consolidation of society, the head of Dagestan Magomedsalam
Magomedov said, RIA Novosti reports.Last night, unknown armed men entered the mosque in the village of Karamkhi, murdered the imam and one visitor, started a fire in themosque and drove away in a stolen car. Local residents extinguished
the fire.
According to Magomedov, the bandits insult the religious feelings of
the Muslim trying to destabilize the situation and frighten 
society.
