UEFA bars Anzhi FC banned from hosting Europa League games

The UEFA Executive Committee has declined to give permission to Anzhi FC (Makhachkala) to play home matches for the League of Europe in Dagestan in 2012-2013, the club’s website says.

The Executive Committee met in Kiev on June 30. The Russian Football Union and the Anzhi FC were informed about the studies of regional security and the city.

Anzhi will send a request to host matches at the reserve stadium in Russia.
