Turkey increases investments in Azerbaijani agriculture
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTurkish Agriculture Minister Mehmet Mehti Eker sees good prospects for agricultural investments in Azerbaijan, 1news.az reports.
The Turkish minister met his Azerbaijani counterpart Ismet Abbasov in Baku. Eker said that Turkey has invested $180 million in Azerbaijani agriculture.
Turkey and Azerbaijan have very similar climates, Eker said, adding that Turkey offers to share experience. Abbasov expressed the interest of Azerbaijan in expanding bilateral agricultural ties with Turkey.
The sides concluded their meeting by signing an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in protection and quarantine of plants.
