US Congressional Delegation arrives in Tbilisi for two day visit
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaA delegation of the US Congress arrived in Tbilisi on Monday with a two-day visit, Trend reports referring to the US Embassy in Georgia. The delegation consists of six congressmen, led by Republican Bill Shuster.
During the visit, the senators will meet with the Georgian President, Mikheil Saakashvili and First Deputy Defense Minister Nodar Kharshiladze, as well as representatives of the opposition.
The delegation will visit a private medical clinic, as well as joint Georgian-American trainings, where the Georgian troops are trained for NATO operations in Afghanistan.
Bill Shuster is a member of the House of Representatives since 2001. He is a member of the Committee on Armed Services, and oversees the energy and finance spheres.
