Militant killed in Nalchik - 3

The police of Kabardino-Balkaria have killed a militant resisting arrest, another one escaped, RIA Novosti reports.

Two men opened fire when police officers attempted to check their documents at the Street of Idarov in Nalchik at 6 am on Tuesday. A blast happened, possibly caused by a grenade. No police officers were injured.

The police believe that the killed militant was a terrorist leader responsible for murders of civilians. Searches for the escaped militant continue.
