Azerbaijani athletes head to London Olympics

The Heydar Aliyev Center has hosted a ceremony where Azerbaijani athletes of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games were seen off to London, Trend reports.

The 30th Olympic Games in London will have 53 Azerbaijani athletes attending.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, his wife Mehriban, Minister for Sports and Youth Azad Ragimov, Senior Coach of the Azerbaijani National Free Wresting Team Firdovsi Umudov, member of the paralympic Team for Athletics Husein Gasanov, member of the Boxing Team Veten Guseinov were at the ceremony.
