Govorun becomes chairman of Olimpstroy monitoring council

Russian Minister for Regional Development Oleg Govorun has become the Chairman of the Olipstroy monitoring council, RIA Novosti reports.

Govorun’s predecessor Minister Victor Basargin used to take the position.

Olimpstroy is a state corporation established on October 30, 2007 to monitor, manage, design, construct and reconstruct Olympic facilities for the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014. The corporation is also responsible for maintenance of facilities.
