UN adopts resolution on Abkhazia and South Ossetia
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe United Nations on Tuesday adopted a draft resolution on Abkhazia and South Ossetia proposed by Georgia, despite Russian protests, RIA Novoti reports.
60 members of the General Assembly voted in favour, 15 against, 82 members abstained from voting.
The resolution says that all parties involved in the conflict should enhance efforts to approach a peaceful resolution of the conflict. The resolution also says that all refugees should be allowed to return to their homes.
Russia criticized the resolution and said that it wouldn't lead to a resolution of the conflict.
