Turkey lifts all sanctions against France

Turkey has lifted all sanctions adopted previously against France, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who is visiting Paris, said, Trend cites TRT Haber as saying on Thursday.

Relations between Turkey and France deteriorated after the decision of the French Senate to pass a bill criminalising denial of the so-called "Armenian genocide"

The French Constitutional Court then passed a judgment repealing this law.

Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that the predecessor of Turkey - the Ottoman Empire - had committed the 1915 genocide against the Armenians living in Anatolia, and achieved recognition of the "Armenian Genocide" from the parliaments of several countries.
