Over 25 billion rubles to be spent on Don Highway

The Avtodor company will spend over 25 billion rubles on development of the M-4 Highway, also known as Don, in the Krasnodar Territory in 2012-2013. 14.27 billion rubles will be provided in 2012, 11 billion rubles in 2013, Yuga.ru reports.

14.4 km of the highway will be launched today. Reconstruction of 23 km more will be completed soon.

Avtodor has been managing the Don Highway since 2010. It meets standards of the first-category highway, running from Moscow to Voronezh.

It may become a high-speed highway before 2014. The Khrebtovy Gorge is the only exception. A 7-km tunnel needs to be built there. The section will be launched before 2018.
