New Greek parliament approved

The coalition parliament of Antonis Samaras has been approved. 179 out of 300 MPs voted for the new parliament, 121 against, RIA Novosti reports.

The ruling coalition includes New Democracy of Samaras, PASOK and DIMAR. The new parliament plans to keep Greece in the euro zone. Greece will receive more credits in exchange for reduction of deficit. The economic threat turned out to be a lot greater than expected.

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras said that the government will boost privatization and criticized SYRIZA for scaring investors off. Left opposition leader Alexis Tsipras said that the party would cancel privatization deals.
