Batumi to host conference on European integration

Batumi will host the 9th international conference dedicated to the
topic of integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures
organized by the apparatus of the State Ministry of Georgia from July
10-12. The conference will be held with the participation of Georgian
President Mikhail Saakashvili, Trend reports.

The conference will be attended by senior representatives of Eastern
European countries. the heads of EU institutions, including the
European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood
Policy, Stefan Fule, the president of the European People's Party
Wilfried Martens, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, experts,
NGO representatives and many others.

The Conference is devoted to the prospects of European integration
in the East-European neighborhood of the EU, including democratic
reforms and the rule of law, the challenges of global and regional
security and economic co-operation with the European Union, as well as
international relations.
