"Gazprom" abandons its plans for Caspian gas pipeline

All the information about the Pre-Caspian gas pipeline which was meant
to deprive alternative export routes for Turkmen gas to Europe (Trans-Caspian gas pipeline) and China of resources, has disappeared from Gazprom's materials, Interfax reports.

The new memorandum of eurobonds of "Gazprom" does not contain a single
mention of the pipeline initiative. Neither is there information on
the Caspian gas pipeline in the detailed statistical reports "Gazprom in
Figures" published last month.

An intergovernmental agreement on the pipeline was signed in 2007.
