Over 100 houses hit by flood in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has had heavy raining since last night, APA reports.

Houses were submerged in Garamaryan and nearby villages. The Garayazy irrigation canal was destroyed and over 100 houses submerged. 6 bridges were damaged in the villages of Yekyakhan, Garayaz, Garamaryam and Shahsoltanly.

The water reservoir of Kyurdmashi in the Ismaillinsky dDistrict was damaged. Power was cut.

The Baku-Shamakha-Yevlakh Highway was closed for 3 hours at 1.30 am. Rafael Ahmedov, deputy head of executives of the Ismaillinsky District, said that traffic there remains dangerous.
