Armenia wants Russian aid instead of European

Armenia is having unofficial negotiations on taking a Russian loan. The sum has not been clarified and ranges from $800 million to $1 billion, Tert.am reports.

The EU will not grant Armenia a loan of $1.5 billion. Armenia offered to take the loand at a high interest rate and needs it by the end of the year, due to the upcoming presidential polls in February 2013.
