Iranian Education Minister arrives in Azerbaijan

The Iranian Education Minister, Hamid Reza Haji Babai, began a visit to Azerbaijan on Wednesday, a spokesman for the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan, Abbas Isgenderi, told Trend.

Isgenderi said that as part of the visit Babai is expected to meet with the Azerbaijani President. The minister will hand over a letter from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in connection with participation in the Non-Aligned Movement summit.

He said the minister is also expected to hold discussions with other state officials during the visit.
Isgenderi said that during the two-day visit Babai will also visit an Iranian education centre in Azerbaijan and meet with Iranians living in Baku.

The minister is accompanied by representatives of the Iranian Foreign and Education Ministries.
