SOCAR drills new boreholes at Guneshli

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) has started drilling borehole N43 at the Guneshli Field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea using platform N10, 1news.az reports.

The borehole is expected to be 3500 meters deep. Geologists say that it would allow extraction of 20 tons of oil and 200,000 cubic meters of gas daily.

The Hazar naval exploration directorate organizes the drilling.
