Russia calls US to negotiate both with Syrian opposition and official Damascus

Russia hopes that the US will actively work both the with government and the opposition in Syria to regulate the crisis in the country, stated Russian Foreign Ministry, Interfax reports.

The deputy head of the Ministry, Mikhail Bogdanov at the meeting with American Ambassador Michael McFaul, said that Russia works both with the Syrian government and with the oppositional groups and expressed the hope “that the American colleagues will work in the same direction”, reads the statement of the Foreign Ministry.
