Moldovan vessel fined in Georgia for water pollution

Georgian border guards have detained the ship YUKKA sailing under the
Moldovan flag in the Black Sea, Trend reports.
The vessel was detained in the port of Poti for polluting sea water,
the border police told Trend on Thursday.
The Georgian side has fixed hydraulic oil sinking in the sea.
The case was filed against the captain of the Moldovan vessel,
Ukrainian citizen Mykola Petrov, in accordance with Article 58 of the
Georgian Administrative Code.
The shipowners will have to pay a fine of 60,000 laris ($ 1 = 1.65 laris),
plus an amount after assessment of the damage caused to the natural
environment.
