Militants kill two Turkish troops

Two Turkish troops have been killed in a clash with militants in the south-eastern province of Sirnak, Trend reports.

The clash happened at the city of Sirnak. Two members of the PKK were killed as well.

The Turkish conflict with the Kurdistan Workers' Party has been ongoing for over 25 years. The PKK demands independence. The conflict has resulted in deaths of over 45,000 people. The UN and the European Union recognize the PKK as a terrorist organization.
