Ivanishvili wants to improve economic ties with Abkhazia and South Ossetia

Georgian oppositionist Bidzina Ivanishvili, leader of the Georgian Dream coalition, wants normalization of ties with Russia and restoration of economic relations with Abkhazia and South Ossetia, News Georgia reports.

Georgian Dream had a meeting in Gori, the city under fire in August 2008. Special attention was paid to the tragic events. It started with a minute of silence. Ivanishvili believes that Georgian authorities should have cared about repercussions at the Tskhinvali Region.

The opposition leader promised to gain access of Georgian products to the Russian market. He says that closing the Ergnet Market in Gori and Tskhinvali was one of the biggest mistakes and promised to open it.
