At the opening ceremony, Zubairu Zubairuyev emphasized the importance of the forum from the point of view of establishing civil society in Russia – open and democratic, based on respect for laws and encouragement of civil initiatives.

According to him, these aims should be achieved both by the whole of Russian society and Dagestani society specifically.

Earlier, Zubairuyev told RIA Dagestan that even though Dagestan’s residents try to live in a secular state, but they don’t know what exactly a constitution and civil society are.

“We appreciate that our Moscow colleagues came to the forum. We will try to invite the most prominent tutors, who understand relations between the state, society, business, and the mass media. We ask all Dagestan’s residents not to ignore the platform and to take an active part in it. We should develop a new understanding of future life in the republic without terrorism and extremism. I hope our project will contribute to peace in Dagestan,” the head of the Department of the head of Dagestan said.

Alexander Sogomonov stated that the platform is unique for discussion of current problems of the state and society. He thanked the initiators of the forum – the presidential administration and the government of Dagestan and Moscow School of Political Research.
