Road police car, not Yevkurov's cortege, involved in crash in Ingushetia

A road police car, not a vehicle in the cortege of the head of Ingushetia, was involved in an accident in the republic, RIA Novosti cites the head of the region's press secretary, Angela Matieva.

Previous reports said that a vehicle in the cortege of Yunus-bek Yevkurov was involved in a crash on Monday in Nazran, but his press secretary said that he was not in the republic, but that the cortege approached the scene of the crash between the police car and a vehicle occupied by local residents, as it was travelling on the Rostov-Baku highway.

Matieva claimed three of the local residents died and two were saved from the wreckage by Yevkurov's security personnel.
