Turkmen president to visit Switzerland

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will visit Switzerland in October 2012, Trend reports.

Swiss President Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf invited Berdimuhamedov to visit Bern in October to discuss further development of bilateral ties. The Swiss president’s message was sent to mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two states.

Turkmenistan is realizing over 10 projects with Swiss capital. They are projects for housing and utilities, electricity and trade. The Turkmen Academy of Sciences has contacts with Globe Interstar AG (Switzerland) to purchase seismological equipment.
