Georgia protests visit of Russian high-ranking military official to breakaway republics

The Georgian Foreign Ministry has expressed its protest against the visit of General-Colonel Vladimir Chirkin, Commander of the Russian Ground Forces, to Abkhazia and South Ossetia on July 11-13, RBC reports.

Tbilisi says that Russia is provoking a military threat to peace and stability in Georgia and the Black Sea Region as a whole.
