SOCAR starts drilling at Goshadap

The Kaspiy drilling company of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) has started first drilling at Goshadash, ABC reports.

Borehole N1 is realized using the Hazar-6 system. It will be 3500 meters deep.

Goshadash is located in the north-western part of the Apsheron Archipelago, 15 km from the shore, 35-40 km from Baku. It is 10-50 meters deep. Seismological studies were held in 1957-1977.
