Syrian defense minister killed in Damascus

Syrian Defense Minister Daud Rajiha has been killed by an explosion at the national security service building in Damascus, RIA Novosti reports.

The blast was caused by a suicide bomber during a joint meeting of security officials and ministers. The hospital near the building is under extra security.
